Had, like Raj and Don, at first sight the idea that the duck was sitting in a tree, but see now that's an optical illusion, because it's, as usual, swimming in the water.

I have a different opinion than even Mr. C. It looks to me that the duck is standing on either a log, or a rock that is in the water. At first glance, I too, thought it was in a tree. I like the way the leaves in front are blurred. Excellent capture, Christian.

Like humans the female mallards have busty figures while unlike the humans mallard males are the beauties ! LOL

Jim's right. She's perched just above the water level on a somewhat submerged log. Regardless, it's a relatively unique image of a Mallard. Good work, Christian
