The Muscovy duck means breeds of domestic ducks from a species of American wild duck called Muscovy ducks. Although it is a bird of tropical origin, it adapts to temperate climates and can withstand temperatures up to below -12 ° C.

They are ugly looking buggers too!...we have these here Christian...a gentle duck and will allow you to get close for a shot!

I remember these from when I was a kid, Christian. The neighbor had some of these and a Peacock. It was a colorful place.

This does resemble the Muscovy ducks I've seen here - that breed is quite popular with some chefs.
