May I intodruce to you - The Theseus Temple. It stands in the middle of the "Volksgarten," a public garden in the 1st district of Vienna. The Temple was built between 1820 and 1823 by Pietro Nobile. It was thought as a home for the sculpture group "Theseus wins against the Kentaur," which was later replaced at the big staircase in the Museum of Natural History. Today the Temple is a well known meeting point for young people, lovers and friends.

Very good Sabine. Is the gold color natural or a reflection of light on it? No matter, it's a great shot and thank you for sharing it.

I assume that is ol' Theseus himself standing out in front of it? Very neat Sabine! I see the building is starting to show it's age some! Not the pristine white we see sometimes on these. Excellent capture of it ma'am! :)

i would never have thought that this image came out of Vienna.
if i had no more info, i would certanly, and could have placed a bet on it that it was or:
Old Rome or old Greece....figure that..
Thanks for putting me on the wrong foot :-) great shot.

Another lovely composition Sabine. The warm, golden colour of the stone against that cool blue triangle of sky sets each element off to perfection. Also, intentional or not, I like the hint of the modern versus the ancient with a glimpse of a solar panelled roof between the pillars.
Cheers,
Steve.

Beauty is no quality in things themselves. It exists merely in the mind which contemplates them, and each mind perceives a different beauty.
