I know, I should take pictures of the frontside of churches, but till today, I was not able to do a good shot of this hudge church in the small street in front of it. This is the church of the Holy Trinity- Dreifaltigkeitskirche - in which began Beethoven's funeral ceremonies on March 29th 1827. Two plaques, situated on the outside, remind that Beethoven and Schubert both had their funerals held here. The Dreifaltigkeitskirche was built between 1687 and 1727. It is in the 9th district of Vienna.

:) Another great shot... this proves that it's not necesary to take pictures of the frontside of churches & i'm glad u didn't, cause this is a really cool shot. Love the way the towers are illuminated by the sun & that tree is a nice addition there, gives a good composition in my opinion. Also the sky is great & makes for a good contrast with the church... A really good shot, keep it up ;)...

Beauty is no quality in things themselves. It exists merely in the mind which contemplates them, and each mind perceives a different beauty.

Great shot, great angle, great image, sharp, etc.. I always look at a photograph and how the elements work together. A good photograph of a building is not always the whole building. You have a very good eye for images and your compositions are always very good. Your image of the back of the church is great, I am sure they have hundreds of photographs of the front.

Anyone can take pics. of front side of things. It's interesting to see the other sides as well! Such is the case here and the history again is terrific! Thanks for sharing Sabine!

WHAT IS MAN WITHOUT THE BEASTS? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from a great loneliness of the spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man. All things are connected. ~Chief Seattle VISIT MY GALLERY

I think views from angles are far more interesting than straight on Sabine! Nice angle to this one which gives a lovely view of roof of this building. Patti

Thanks for sharing this Sabine. I too like the angles/spires view instead of the front. The history is welcome as always. ;-) [keep smiling]

this one looks good Sabine, like the green of the copper roof with the red next to it and why would you take only the front if you can make pictures like this one:))

Why only take shots from the front of houses and churches ? each building has multiple sides, and can be interesting from any angle, as you have proved here.
If it was shot for a tourist guide book, yep, then you would need to shoot things from upfront, but luckaly we do not have to do that here at caedes.
Thanks as well for the story to with the picture, great to know that 2 famous componists had their burriel via here. Thanks Sabine !

Really nice, Sabine. All the colors against the blue sky are wonderful and your choice of angle was spot on. I'll bet you were trying to wish that tree away while you were taking the shot!

I always like the perspective you choose to shoot from, as Kidder said it's interesting to see the other sides - almsost everyone takes pictures face front, Yours are much more creative. This way we get to see the three spires of this church. Blue sky is so gorgeous! I also appreciate how much history you impart! Diane
