Wonderful detail in this photograph! The light to dark background complements it very well.

Excellent Sabine you only see to get better with your post. I think the way you have presented this is so like a pro and the detail is superb. Sandi (Notice the new avatar) I'm an avatar nut i guess :)

Au !! those figures below carrying the lot on top seem to have it hard, well done by the sculpture. The top figure looks like Neptune ?

It looks like he's lost something that he was holding in his outstretched hand. But of course this is a marvelously executed statue and thanks for photographing it so well. I also wanted to tell you that I love the way you've framed it. I didn't even notice it at first, and I guess that was the idea. It really compliments your presentation, Sabine.

You've expertly captured a fabulous statue here Sabine. The presentation is excellent too and the choice of black and white was a good one. Well done.

Wow..again your talent shines through on this shot Sabine! And again more excellent material presented to us! Magnificent looking statue! Is the little one in the middle their child? Looks like Mr. Danubius really has abs of rock! lol Not to mention his muscular legs! I wouldnt want to mess with him..looks like one tough dude! Excellent work all around Sabine!

Hi Sabine, I never used to be a fan of B&W pics, but since joining Caedes my views have gradually been changed. Your offering here has confirmed for me that B&W still has a major role to play. This is superb and shows up the textural detail and subtle tones of these statures far better than colour could have. The image very much enhanced by that ckever graduated border. Excellent!
Cheers,
Steve.
