Real nice Sabine! I really like the way you composed this shot with the building included in it! I think the shadow even add to your overall image. Good work ma'am! C):-)

Let's see..I just read about this recently. A man on a horse that is rearing in the air means that the man died in battle; a man on a horse when the horse has one front leg pawing the air means that the man was a warrior but died of wounds; a man standing alone with no horse means he died and was or was not a soldier, but a man wrestling with a horse? Hmmm...

Very good Sabine, as usual. You should do a series of the statues in your area. ;-)

Beautiful sculpture and an excellent capture Sabine! I like the way you took this one from the back with the trees casting shadows on the sculpture!

Just imagine the work involved, carving this out of a straight block of stone, it must have been a immense work... Great post, beautifull colors, and a stark blue sky to top if off. And i like the sneak peak of the building to the right of cource.

hi Sabine :o)

I'm a fan of sculptures anyway, so I like this from the start. the overall image quality here is great..no noise, and the colors are wonderful.

I'd prefer to see the building straightened a bit, and if possible, on a future shot, perhaps a slightly tighter shot, just showing the hind quarters of the horse and up, and the man's torso and up would be nice. either that, or a wider angle, so that neither the statue, nor the sculpture feel 'chopped off' and a better sense of proportion is conveyed to the viewer.

one last thing, and this is somewhat of a case of personal preference. those shadows are already providing a wonderful contrast to the image, so mybe reducing the contrastjust a tiny bit might give you a richer feel to this.

hope this helps :o)
