Yesterday we were in the zoo in Schoenbrunn, the former imperial zoo here in Vienna. The light was not so great, so a lot of my pics did not work out well, but I hope, you like this guy ...

Well, I think that I have the "bugs" out of this computer. I am using a new (to me) version of PE3 thanks for waiting & I'll try and post more often now. ;-)

Unusual color...well at least it's unusual to me. I've only seen them when they're a bit more on the white side. You captured him very well, and you're just used to looking at gold in the sunshine, my dear. The lighting looks fine to me.
Yes i know ! i had that in Burgers Zoo to Sabine, a lot of images did not work out.
For example there where red birds, they where so red, that all detail in their feathering disappeared in my pictures, although beautifull birds, i could not even use a single one of them. But this picture worked out great, the light is perfect, with good coloring.
The image is very sharp to. Thanks for this one.

What good detail of this handsome guy or pretty one! Anyway its a great shot especially for the lighting not being that good. It does not show that in this post. <>♥:)sandi♥
Great photograph, I think the light was just right for this image. He looks like he just came out of the water. I find these birds amaizing, we feed them some times when we fish, and what they hold in their beaks is unbelievable. Your photograph is tops.
These are interesting birds. We dont have them in kentucky, but once a year they pass thtough briefly in HUGE flocks. I have only been fortunate to see them once, but it was amazing. Great photo dear.
