I decided, that I will not post any November-image, since I did not see anything, that was typical for this month here in Vienna - but still nice ... So back to the summer: You have already seen the castle of Hochosterwitz, here is a detail. Hochosterwitz Castle is considered to be one of Austria's most impressive medieval castles. It is situated on a 160 m (525 ft) Dolomite rock, east of the town of Sankt Veit an der Glan, in Carinthia, and can be seen from 30 Km (20 miles) away on a clear day.

Very good on the angle that you took this. The textures show up so very good and it is set against that beautiful sky.

Sabine, think we all have the same problem at the nothern hemisphere. November is not the best time to capture images because of the everage foul weather. I'm forced to post 'old' images as well. Think's that's not a problem when they are that nice as your image!

This is neat, the way you can see the continuation of the roof's edge through the window. A lovely sunny day for this photo. It brings out the richness of the stone wall. The angle is also quite nice.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

The angle and the building, which are the subject of your upload are well taken and seen, but the sky and the gradient colors there are brilliant. Gotta love the summer's presentation.

I could never get too many of your wonderful photo's never mind the time of year. I really like the angle and the view you must have at the top of the stairs. I also like the rock construction. Can't imagine how long it must have taken to construct. Very good Sabine. Have a nice weekend.

If your shots are as beautiful as this one... I don't care when you took them as long as you post them!
The colors, textures and angle of this shot are absolutely great! I love it.
