An interesting bit of art I happened upon. My first experience removing unwanted objects from an image ("photoshopping" them out)--seems like I did alright with that. Comments welcome! Particularly, what to do with portrait oriented pictures? I had no idea what to do with the space on the sides that I created once I flipped the picture from landscape orientation. In hindsight, you give more space around your subject, but not given a choice?

Cool sculpture, any idea what it's supposed to represent? A suggestions I will give is...try to frame the sculpture with as little sky in it as possible. Overexposed sky isn't very nice to look at, and there isn't a lot that can be done about it without photoshop or polarizing filters. I'm not sure what you mean about flipped pictures, or removing stuff from pictures.

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. - Churchill

I agree with Camerama about the sky, it does kind of draw my attention away from the focus of the shot. The colors seem a little dull to me, maybe it's the effect the sky is having though. Could you photoshop it to brighten up the trees and sculpture?

Camerama - I edited the description, hopefully it all makes more sense now.

forage - I'll work on it...I'm rather fresh to any serious photo editing. :)

I really don't have any idea about what the sculpture is/is supposed to represent. It was a rather random thing I happened upon. All the description I got was things like artist name, age, etc. I guess we have to come up with our own interpretation!
