Nice shot,Christie. The bird is a bit overexposed and a touch of Negative Gamma would give it more colour depth. It's no fault of yours. The camera sees the darker background and foreground, and exposes for the larger metered area. If your new camera happens to have a Spot Meter setting the manual will explain how and when to activate it.
This is one stunning capture and the detail, focus plus composition is superb.Love the colours in this finch and it always a bonus when you can capture the light in the birds eye like you did.Not to forget as well the light and shade in this photo is stunning too.
Thank you Doug- Great eye! I have changed my original and it really does look better with the -gamma. Thank you again, your help is always appreciated.
I'm thinking Brian Keith....only I can't remember the name of that show....hmmm...'Family Affair! Oh and your photo is great as always. Beautiful work.
