It isn't the ideal conditions, I know, with the girl hopping about in the background, but I like it. The contrast of the bronze and the white pillars and the suspended crystal arcs of water, just give it a nice feel I think. It is a statue in a park in Saint Petersburg Russia. I went there for nine days this summer. You can expect to see many more pictures from there. I took a bunch. Tell me what you think! Have a great day!

I think this image is a masterpiece, i think the girl gives it life, and the bronze statue let's you see the past, the progression of time if you will. Your gallery is in fine shape, my only advise is to use your camera with emotion that's all i try to do. Best Wishes, Dwight

What a gorgeous fountain/sculpture Caiden and a wonderful view. Your composition and clarity and excellent. I agree with you about the girl but nowadays there is software to clone her out. The overall sight here is just excellent. Very well done.

I could argue both ways -- clone out the girl or leave her in -- but I do think I would crop away the sides and top of this shot to concentrate on the statue as the center of attention. Still, it is a dandy photo just the way it is.

Hello Caiden, so nice to meet you! My goodness, you have captured a small piece of Russian history here, how great is that? Imagine, living in Russia for nine days, what a wonderful experience, one you will never forget Caiden! It must have been a lot of fun, so much to learn!! I like this photo, however, I don't think the quality of the image depends entirely on what you do with the girl in the picture, as I would rather, for the time, rather think of what about the photo keeps our attention, what do we like about it and for me, it is most assuredly is the statue, the sculpture, what do you think! Sincerely, Marilyn

Thanks very much for all the comments. At the time I put this on, I didn't think about cropping it closer to the statue. I guess I was just in a hurry to get back on the sight so everyone wouldn't think I dissapeared over the summer, that I rushed ahead without thinking. I did mess with the contrast and colors a bit to cut down on glare, though. If y'all want to take a look at my other pictures, go right on ahead. I'm glad for your suggestions, and I'll be sure to use them in the future. Thanks!
