Photographed in the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. Titusville, FL.

Gaillardia pulchella, Asteraceae (Aster Family) Common names: Indian Blanket, Firewheel, Blanket Flower.
A butterfly attracting wildflower indigenous to most of North America east of the Rockies. It thrives in full sun with dry, sandy conditions and grows from 1-3 feet in height.

The DOF works nicely, capturing three blossoms. If anything, I would have cropped out the structure (or tree) on the right since it adds nothing to the image. A fine image with good info.
