I've only ever seen pictures of this until last weekend. Crepuscular sun rays, Mt McKay, Ontario.

It looks like different layers of clouds only let in so much light. It's an amazing view and while a bit dark, composed so very well. It's really beautiful full screen at this end. Thanks for posting this interesting capture.

You have been innovative to introduce this atmospheric weather trickery to Caedes. The rays are very well captured. They have a foreboding quality that is haunting. I wonder how the image would have appeared with the use of a wide-angle lense. Good work.

WOW...this is spectacular, I've never seen this for real either, but you have captured the beauty of this so well, with such detail of the colours and rays. There do seem to be some unusual sky formations just recently .I captured one that looked like a vortex...it pays to have the camera with you at all times....Thanks for posting this...Jacquie.
