That's what they called it when the cruise ship couldn't fir in a port so they lowered a few lifeboats to "tender" us in. This shot was take off the shores of Kona, Hawaii.

What an interesting use of the word "tender" and I suppose it really does have several different meanings the more I think of it. Thanks for pointing out this new one and in such a beautiful way. This is a great photo :)

Over head davits is what I call them. My company makes the controls for them. Cool picture!

Beautiful shot, Laura! This was such a good idea and I can get a feel for what it must have been like. I have enjoyed these journey to Hawaii shots. Now I won't have to make the trip myself. lol
