The statue of Kaiser Wilhelm I (ruled 1861-1888 over Prussia [to 1871], then Germany, respectively). As the years show, this is NOT the Kaiser during WW I, but his father. I believe the statue was originally commissioned by Wilhelm II. This statue is at Koblenz, Rhineland, Germany, just behind the confluence of the Mosel (Moselle in France) and the Rhine. This is a beautiful spot, even on a cool and cloudy day in April, 2012. Used an "included in" software preset in Photomatix Pro, then played slightly.

A wonderful angle and shot of this regal sculpture. I think that the cloudy April sky just adds to the drama of this great capture my friend!
