This is a wild Iris found in abundance in the Sam Juan mountains in the spring. They only last for a few days and I was lucky to be there at the right time thanks to my friend fotobob.

This is a very lovely flower and you've captured it very well, however, I think you might want to go back and clean up the frame a little, as it tends to detract from the beauty of the overall composition :):PJ

Yes you can do some cropping but also think about depth of field when taking macro shots. With some more dof and a little cropping to highlight your main part of the photo you will have a better photo.

Great picture, very vivid colours and the flower is perfectly crisp. Maybe without the frame and just have the flower on its own?
