This device, with a non-steerable set of wheels, was used to move logs to the mill by horsepower. It was a lot quieter than the monster vehicles they use nowadays.

Well, it may have been quieter and cleaner, but I note there is such a shortage of horsepower nowadays, that the very shoes the horses used to wear have now been converted into a game which ppl play even this close to the very vehicle they were meant to power. I love old relics, and this certainly qualifies :)PJ

This image is well done, but I think it would better without the pole in the upper corner, as it is distracting. I agree about the noise. What we traded for efficiency we lost peace and got a noisier world, unfortunately. Good work.
