We release doves from our church on Pentacost. Look closely at this image and you will see three doves. The one in the air came from the middle basket, there is one emerging from the left basket and one peeking out from the right basket. I catch the doves every year and will post more later.

That is a neat idea. Never heard of this being done before. You mentioned that your wife is church secretary, so is she in this picture? Looks like one happy group of people. I love the doves caught in flight. Do they fly away forever or do they come back? Those are big doves. Hope they don't make it to Louisiana. They will wind up in somebody's gumbo. Excellent capture.

This must be quite a ceremony filled with symbolism and feeling. I like the way you've framed this one. I wouldn't have thought to pick the pink and black, but it works so well, that I didn't notice it the first time around. Interesting architectural lines on the roof of the church, as well :)PJ

Great picture Chuck. Clever how you glued the Dove to the pole, I guess that it would have flown away otherwise. Pentecost was a greattime of year around my home church though i don't recall it being as colourful as this. Good job.

AKAJON: Most people lye asleep and notice nothing around them. Just wake up and see the natural beauty around you. It will blow you away.

What really struck me about this photo Chuck is the Dove that is right in front of the cross. How fitting and such a lovely photo this is as well. I like your framing also.

What a joyous occassion, Chuck. You captured it very well. The dove in flight is lovely, and the clarity and colors are superb! Well chosen framing too :)
