This almost gives the appearance of a sea of yellow. The aspen were beautiful showing through the pines. It was a beautiful day in the San Juans.

Splendid shot of the color here Chuck. The "sea" as you call it is a spectacle ... but what I find most eyecatching and delightful are the thin stripes of yellow forming an edging to the hills on the upper right. Your doing a terrific job bringing some of that Fall coloring to a lot of folks not privileged to see it's beauty.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

Spectacular, Chuck! Amazing scenery. We don't have aspens here in California -- wish we did.

Amazing sea of gorgeous color Chuck and I'm envious that I can't see it in person ... but will enjoy it through your eyes/lens. Beautifully done. Thanks for bringing it to my DT.

I do miss having seasons in Florida (don't miss the snow and ice, though). This is just a great reminder of the wonders of nature 'out there'. Terrific colors and great depth. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful scene, Bob. I love the angles running thu this. The yellow aspens are placed just right. Do you use a photo editor? I ran this thru PS Elements 4 because I felt it needed a little more snap. The Levels adjustment gave it just that. I set the black point in further which gave the composition the needed snap and then sharpened it a little. Really nice. If I'm speaking Greek to you, say so and I'll PM you. Nice work.

you seem to be getting the autumnal chage earlier than us here in Poland
and you have the advantage that you have hills so you get the perspective from above

its already a beautiful image
but i cant wait to see when its 100% golden!

i also cant wait to show you poland in a similar but much more variagated state with reds bronzes and other firey colours :)

thanks for sharing this photographically exciting time

Thanks Santos for your nice comments on the Yellow Sea. I think the location is not far from you in the Rii Grande Valley isn't it. It is near the small village of Platoro near the Platoro Reservoir along the Conejos River.
