I like it too, Chuck. It reminds me for all the world of a tree that is determined to be Christmas Tree of the Year. Determined it grew all by itself to set it apart from the crowd we can see in the background..lol...I see it has some beautiful and jealous admirers there in the lowly, yet lovely yellow aspens that can never hope to aspire to the heights of adornment the object of their admiration can...very pretty pic, and I like it a lot..all kidding aside :)PJ
It's a great shot Chuck. Love the dark green among the golden autumn colors. Nicely captured and well presented. Thanks for sharing the beautiful view of nature.
I'm way behind so forgive me for not commening on your individual posts but know that I've looked at all of them since I left. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
I'm with PJ here..I was thinking how great that tree would look in lights for Xmas! But not cut down..right where it is. Got a long extension cord Chuck?? LOL Nice shot..it really stands out!

Like the colors shown here ... as for the "lonesome pine" it reminds me of a drill sergeant in front of a troop formation ... and a dozen or more golden trees have reluctantly stepped forward to volunteer for extra duty. :o) Nice post Chuck.
