Ah... nothing like walking on the beach next to an ice cold lake on a hot summer day. I have read Lake Superior has an average summer temp of 40 degrees F. And I thought Lake Michigan was cold! Berrr! I love the shot but the fact that the point of the beach where the water meets the sand is hidden makes it look a little odd. :( It is a wonderful vista just the same and some beautiful blue water too boot.

The colors here are very soothing to the eye. I think I agree with DP on the absence of a shore line. I also like the ever so light glow at the horizon. Nice post Jimmy!

The Dropoff between shore and lake is natural, there is about a half inch drop between water level and beach.
