Was passing a house in the Christmas season and had to take this pic. The reflections on the bottom are from the roof of my car. I didn't have a tripod with me.
I'm a fan of the tripod on anything stable as well :). I understand the image but it still is confusing. I understand you use a car for reflection, but I find myself obsessed with seeing this reflection on a car (probably because I never see reflections on cars) rather than focusing on the picture itself. It's a great looking house, but those residents should learn that shining a bright white light on the side of their house is a horrible idea to show off their great lights! I personally feel the more contrast and saturation the better in these situations. Although there's not much to do for the bright white light, mess around in photoshop with the selective color menu to bring out the lights saturation and contrast. I'd crop the right side that has no activity and take off some of the sky and ground to make up for the resolution change.
Overall: Great shot, just a tincy bit too much going on and a little extra lifeless space on the right. :)
Take care! I look foward to seeing more of your great work!
How unusual. I like it. I'm impressed that you didn't use a tripod for this! The lights are captured extremely well. A very striking image and fantastic work. :)
