I'm really interested in Matte paintings for films(one day I will be a film director!). Since I have good Photoshop skills I decided to give it a go. So this is my first ever Matte Painting. It's made up of loads of pictures that I've found on the web and also the church is actually Biddenden Church which is in Kent, UK. My mum (thewhisperer) took the picture of the church! I actually filmed the whole process of making the image in time-lapse and I will be uploading the video to my youtube channel in due course. None of the images I sourced from the internet were protected by copyright. Thankyou.

Glenn, I see a lot of symbolism in your work. The church represents where brave Achilles's wife remained and waited for twenty years for her husband's return. The globe may be Troy, at a distance from home, but reachable with desire and cunning. The sky tells us of the adventures and troubles ahead for Achilles. And, the rising sun warms us and gives the much needed hope.

I also like the color selection and your composition over-all. I really like art which tells a story to each set of eyes which falls upon it, even if that story varies from eye to eye.

Glen, an excellent first post. Welcome to Caedes and I will be looking forward to more of your work. Good luck, also, with that career in film.

This is an excellent picture...Well done. However, when I tried to put it on my desktop, the image came out really blurry. Is there a way that you can adjust this image to fit the next screen size up or larger. This is such a great piece of work and I would love to use it as my desktop. Thanks.
