I replaced the original shocking red in my previous post Woe with a less contrasting, easier on the eyes color. I tried it out on my desktop, and I found that I could look at it for more than two seconds without serious eye strain. What do you think?

Yes, I agree with you, this is easier on the eye. I like the rich blues and the contrast with the green. It's a pleasing design too. Nice work!

Well, yes it's easier on the eye but I sure liked those vivid colors in the first one. Both are very well done. Thanks for this one also.

I thought the original was fine; I simply desaturated it somewhat before adorning my desktop with it.

I like both Michael, but I find the blue more pleasing to the eye. I love the blues & greens together on this one ... wonderful rework.

I like the original. I think you just needed to tone down the red some. Great idea. The grape hyacinths were good in both versions.

I like them both. For different reasons. The red is so vibrant and colorful. This blue verson is also very colorful, but also more peacful-calming.

Picture Purrrfect . A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!! Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!

Yes, it is nicer but on the other hand the red is just so striking. Well, nice job on both!

I love the idea and these colours are wonderful...but the replacement colours here look too fake and don't blend into the image.
Lovely idea.
