Hi Dale. I like what you have tried to do in this photo, although I think the weather was against you. The lake district seems to be very good weather or terrible :-)
The horizon is straight, which is good. You have a foreground, which is a help. In fact I'm sure I myself have photographed of that rock :-). There are subtle shades in the distance, which had it been better weather would have looked really good. I suspect your using some sort of auto camera and did not have much control over the outcome.
A good first try. Maybe visit the area again in better weather :-)
Welcome to Caedes and I look forward to more uploads from you.

Hey Dale welcome to Caedes.
Correctly a photo with the threat of badly weatfer, something has. And it reflects complete good, how it is the weather almost in United Kingdom. I find it shining a country. I come here gladly for holiday. That is the mystrious of your country.

I like this one. You have many layers in your picture and I like that. I love clouds and cloud formation :)

I really like this picture. The light quality and the hills disappearing into the mist. Nice use of the foreground rock but I would have offset it to the left a little, as per the thirds rule, which would also help balance the dark of the lakeshore on the right.
