The interesting silhouetted branches offset the lack of vibrant color. The position of the sun in the notch of the trees is definitely a plus. This evokes a nice feeling of serenity.

Nice image. In my opinion, the focus is just a little soft, and all the branches make the lower image appear busy.

Can you paint with all the colors of the wind.
I actually think this photo would be more effective with no sun. It's kindof distracting, and the sillouette of the trees against he dark cloudy sky alone would be more striking

I thought the sun was the moon due to its softness; I've never seen it like that. The only thing I would change would be to heighten the contrast, but it's a lovely image. Very well done.
