Reminds me of science fiction scenes when people are trying to escape from the wreakage of spacecraft or something with bits of metal jutting, noxious gases circulating and electrical currents arcing from point to point. I agree with jswgpb about the colour scheme. If the yellow were a bit bluer it might also remind me of welding more but yellow would be a bit too cool for that.
