abstract->Surrealism
This is another Digital Matte Painting. It is entirely original. I created it using Vue 6, Photoshop CS3 and a ton of reference photos. Unfortunately the pen for my Wacom is missing, so all of the work was done with a mouse only. Much harder to deal with. I'm going to have to ebay a new pen. I posted my original Lonely sentinal in my gallery some time ago. I finally got back to working on it. Comparing the two might prove interesting. Your really have to blow this one up to appreciate the tiny hand painted detail. MUST BE SEEN FULL SIZE.

I do not know anything about this type of artistry, but this has the look and feel of something that had a fair amount of work put into it. I find this very interesting and eye appealing. It is a nice reward for a job well done. Thanks

You created this all ourself????? This is amazing. You even have reflections, light and shadows perfectly. And you did it with a mouse. You are very talented. Thank you.

Thanx Krisie and mmynx34. To clarify, althought I did create this image from scratch, and I did paint some of it pixel by pixel, I had a lot of help from software like Vue 6 to help me establish the environment and reflections and I did a lot of digital matte painting using photo reference as well. Most of the time was spent detailing the sentinel to make it look like something is going on there. The origial sentinel post looked abandoned.

Oh my! I just love the water here, it looks much like molten gold but with the soft feeling of the sea. The colour is just magical as well.And the best part is the way there is a deeper golden shadow on the left half.Then to have the whole thing merge with that wonderful sky...well, I can't even find the right words...excellence is the word I suppose..Verena
