This photo was taken at Bedaghat, in the Central Indian State of Madhya Pradesh, where the river Narmada flows between the rocks which are marble. Due to the high value of these rocks there used to be rampant exploitation with unscrupulous builders and others cutting the rocks and taking them away for building purposes and for creating sculptures. But after the State Government banned cutting of rocks the structures have been preserved.

Wow...Lord of the Rings territory...but in India. Very impressive, and something not many of us would ever get to see for ourselves. I like the little boat in the center...gives scope and focus to the scene. Wish the sky had been a bit bluer and there had been a little less glare on the water. Still, the scene is unforgettable and I thank you for posting it.

A magnificent presentation. The marble rocks are majestic reaching for the sky. Stunning marble with excellent textures. Nice to see the folks floating on the river, and how small they appear compared with the rocks. Finely shown greys and whites of the marble. Thanks for this unusual view :)

Not a half bad shot. It's a little bright and washed out in some areas, but that can be fixed pretty easily. Good job.
