You've achieved an interesting jagged metal ffect with this. For wallpaper purposes, the margins of the image don't overwhelm the icons on the side. - Dave

I must admit I'm confused by it .. but if this is what you wanted me to see .. great

perhaps if you put a 'brushed aluminum' background behind it and then added some drop shadow it would help to give it some dimension
