I like the darkness of this- it's very subtle, and I really think it makes a great desktop. Nicely done! :)

Agree about the full screen, but it is definitelyh worth it. I really like the subtle purply-blues here. It's a really restful desktop without being uninteresting and that's rather rare. Great work!
If there was one thing I might personally like to see done differently, it would be the background at the top which is a bit plain and boring if you don't keep icons on the desktop. On the other hand, of course, it would work very well if you do keep icons on the desktop!

It's very elegant, and I'd like to see it on a light background so that its beauty could be better appreciated, but it's certainly a wonderful creation :)
