I always try to balance the light with the heavy - a few tears of human spirit in with the sequins and the fringes ~

Very, very nice. The colours, which aren't usually my favourites, seem perfect for this and the way they "melt" is lovely. It does look as though this design might be featured in an Oriental rug - and a very beautiful one, at that. I can imagine a child sitting on the carpet gazing into the depths of these spirals and imagining exotic, far away lands, magical worlds - maybe a magic carpet.
The only thing I'd really like to see tweaked would be to move the image down slightly so that the top of the design is not cut off. There's a bit of room at the bottom and hopefully that would be enough. Otherwise I'd centre it vertically, at least, or maybe even scale it slightly to fit. Just a thought. It's very nice as it is and it wouldn't matter on a Windows desktop, I suppose, because the status thing at the bottom would cover up the empty space and tail of the fractal in any case. On other desktops, though, it will make a difference, and, being on such a desktop myself, of course I'm going to suggest the alteration!
excellent color choice here... Very calm, earthy, soothing. Simple fractal, but you made it into something pretty to look at~ :) Sorry, gotta run - 30 more images to look at! I'm way behind...
