Thank you Steven, I'm starting to create a series of this type of image, it takes tons of time though as the work is more complex. Glad you like it :-)
Great to see you playing in a new sandbox, I like this scene overall, but do have a couple of quibbles/suggestions? The minor one being the shoreline edge - the denser wet sand area needs to gradiate longer into the dry area, right now when I look at it, it appears to be a drop shadow under the water - a fun impression, but probably not the one you were shooting for. 8•) On an even more minor level, there's usual a glossy lip at the water's edge you could play with including.
The thing that really sticks out for me however is that the fairy appears to have been placed onto the scene, but not blended in. A shadow under her, and a field of light behind her reflecting the direction her light is shining on her would place her in it rather than on it. 8•)
She's a beautiful fairy, and I really like the composition you've put together here. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the series.
Donna, this is a lovely image and a good idea, but it would be many times better if you did match lighting. We do that in movies etc in Hollywood. If you use Photoshop, you can adjust the color of the fae person to match the bluish cast of the landscape light. You also need to lower the light. But most important you need to have most of the light come from behind where the light in the image is located. As you have it, it looks like you merely pasted the faeire image over a background without marrying the two. Clearly you have a good eye and talent. Work it.

Gorgeous picture - and a lot of hard work involved; it's a lot trickier than it looks (as I'm finding. I have a long way to go). I don't know how I missed all these desktops... I had gone a bit quiet from Caedes.
wow, beautiful... The faerie is pretty, but I like what's around her much more. The moons, the sun, the water, the sky... They're almost an image by themselves. wow.
