I was sketching some daisies...well I think they're daisies...and all of a sudden a butterfly landed on my sketchbook! Then it took off again and landed on the exact flower I had been trying very vainly to catch on paper. So, I ran inside and grabbed my camera and when I got back the butterfly was still there! It didn't stay for very much longer though before it flew away...but I got a couple shots! =) Comments would be greatly appreciated!

I love how the colours of the butterfly go so well with the flower, it caught my eye right away. its a great angle shot of the flutterbye ^_^ lol its colours are beautiful, also like that you've blurred the background so our focus is right on the butterfly and flower. Good job Laurel

Splendid shot! I spent about two hours off and on over the 4th of July trying to get a shot of a humming bird that likes to perch itself on my parent's deck...no luck - - he was too alert to my presence to sit long enough for me to get a good shot. This is a keeper, Laurel! Good job from your neighbor in Minnesota! <G>

Great shot here, this is so full of life and color. The way the butterfly is posed upon the flower really makes this picture perfect. Great work here all the way!!
