Before I start my critique, please understand that this art form is not my cup of tea. Having said that:

This has very good composition, contrast and leading lines. The color selection is appealing.

Would I hang it on my wall? Probably not. Would I give it to a friend? Good chance, for I know several who would appreciate it. The only suggestion I have to offer is purely subjective. I feel the upper right corner is a little busy.

Overall, I'd have to say it is a pleasant work deserving of a "Well done".

I like what you did here a lot. I don’t know what you intended to portray but I get the impression that something ghastly happened to that cat. Road kill perhaps? I doubt that I would use it for wallpaper but I can see it on the wall for an artistic talking point. Congratulations, it’s a skilful and artistic presentation.

There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important. Ruth Ross

Hi James,
Wow, this sure is colorful. I like that you left enough of the cat to identify through the whiskers and the eyes. The blur in the lower right corner is a bit of a detraction for me, but overall, the image can hold it's own with your skillful manipulation.

I'd echo the comments above, it's not the type of image I'd usually be interested in but I have to say that it's very original, well put together and the colours are very good. There is a bit of an imbalance between left and right and maybe that's what makes it look busy on one side. Overall it's great to see you posting stuff like this - without people doing different things the site would be boring and predictable - and I really hope to see more like it.

Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.

Personally, I think a little more symmetry would not be amiss on this picture. It feels lopsided, with too much "weight" on the right side. Just my opinion. A good work nonetheless and very communicative.

Interesting picture with beautiful colours.
I would see the picture before manipulation.
