Excellent shot EDV. I read where 1918 was the beginning of the Influenza Pandemic that lasted until 1920. Over 50 million people died around the world. It was 3% of the worlds population. Maybe this is a memorial.

Didn't I see something just like this in the Lord of The Rings movies? :D It's a little off-center but still a beautiful capture. A little misty and yet crystal clear at the same time.

It's interesting how you have made stone look appealingly soft and gentle. The absence of any distractions in the background effectively magnifies the artistic accomplishment of both the monument and the photo. Well done!
