I like what you were going for in this photo. I can never get my camera close enough to a fly to get a shot like this. The bright light is a slight distracting and the focus is off on the fly. Thanks for sharing.
You've discovered inexpensive bait for trapping flies. An idea for reducing the distraction of the light glare might be to surround the subject with a white, soft edged frame. I'm not aware of any editing tools that effectively sharpen focus.
The fly is out of focus and the glare on the right is distracting. There is a tool in Photoshop that does a good job sharpening, but out of focus will always be out of focus. You could zoom in and use a vignette to take out some of the glare. That said, I understand you probably only had a few precious seconds to snap this shot before he flew away. Not a lot of time to set up your shot. Your headed in the right direction. Keep it up!
