Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel.
-Josemaria Escriva
Your description couldn't be more true for this Helena. The perfect placement to show off the true beauty of this flower. Excellent photography and lighting. Into my favorites this is going. Thank you.
If the clarity on this beauty were any better, I'd be able to pick it and set it in a vase on my desk. This is one of the best I've seen as to quality, color, placement and background. The black is just perfect. I can think of no other color that would equal it in intensity and strength and yet not overpower the delicacy of this post. The shadows are highly visible on the right side of the flower, and so create even more interest. The center of the flower with its intriguing shade of green is almost mysterious as it is shaded and protected by the most intense guards of red. It's almost as if you're invited to look at what you can spy, but are not allowed beyond those gates...amazing ..sent me off in a tizzy of imagination of which I'm going to have to gradually come down.....lol...in my faves, of course :)PJ
