I shot this old wheelbarrow a few weeks ago in the backyard. I didn't like the background as shot and would liked to have moved the barrow to another location or even turn it. But it was a) probably frozen to the ground and b) I didn't want to disturb the snow around it. So I started messing around with it, and ended up with this. Thought about reversing the effects but the barrow didn't look right in monotone colour. Should have removed the branch from the foreground as well, but forgot about it until now. Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Looks pretty fine to me, Wendell. I love the details of decay on the barrow.

Hi Wendell
We used to have one like this for years! It finally fell apart! You did a good job despite the branch!

Wendell - I'd limit the load in this wheelbarrow to just a few bricks! The details of this old vehicle (as kids we'd haul one another around the yard in one laughing so hard we'd fall over) are very good. Thad

Oh my, yes we had one almost like this one but of course in better condition, lol. It would be fun restoring it back to use as part of a garden decoration, maybe with some pots of flowers in them.

Wonderful capture Wendell, it has lots of character

I like that wheelbarrow better than the one I got. Mine has a flat tire, and I haven't gotten it fixed yet. LOL. Nice find and capture. I like the textures in the wood, and the lighting.

Hello Wendell...It is so nice to see the barrow in its natural state...It reminds me of a barrow I had to construct in my last year at school,I can remember I had to have help from the woodwork teacher to get the correct angles on the front part of the barrow....I like this very much....Well done....All the best to you Wendell..................................Mick.

Super details on the wheel barrow and I like the emphasis on it, Wendell! The composition is also great! As weathered and old as it is, it's really quite charming. The blurred branch on the left is a tad distracting...I wonder how it would look in b&w, or even selective colouring.. leaving the subject in colour and the rest b&w. Just some thoughts. But, I do like what you have done here! :)

I like it just the way it is Wendell. I love those old thingies.
When I go to Bannack, Mt., the ghost town, there are many very similar to this one of yours, but they date all the way back to 1856!! I wonder how old this one is? I would love to see it in black and white. And get rid of that little branch. This is wonderful tho. Verena

Wendell may be you should have sat on it, dressed like a elf, smoking a pipe and took a self portait, lol. Nice shot.
