Just a simple close-up shot of several ostrich ferns newly sprouted and starting to unfurl. Could be wrong about the specific species of fern. Your comments welcomed as always.

Wendell - My, these are hairy little things! I like the composition a lot, as well as the depth of field. The stalks in the background are a bit distracting however. Thad

Once they start to unfurl it surely doesn't take long to fan out. Nice capture.

Hello Wendell!

A very cute shot! And fun at the same time cause it reminds a kind of aliens...lol Diferent and unique. I have some kinds of ferns in my garden, I like very much the exuberance of some of these plants. Thank you for your comments and have a week with good energies.

Hi Wendell
I love seeing these ferns roll out their branches like this! Yep these are Ostrich ferns! Great close up!

Hi, Wendell...

Well, I hate to redundant and repetitive; so I'll simply say that I agree with most of the comments above.

Wonderfully captured with great details and colours! My,...they are hairy! :) I'm guessing you are right about the species... as they remind me of Ostrichs.

Are you sure they are from this planet? LOL. Nice DOF in this shot, and great color and clarity on the outer space beings. He he.

Ferns are always so beautiful, doesn't matter at which stage they are. Did you know when the fronds first come up, they are so delicious to saute and eat?!! Not when they get taller, only when they first pop out of the ground. I hadn't heard of Ostrich ferns before. Sure is an interesting photo, a bit busy on the BG tho...Verena

They look very fragile Wendell and you have captured them at the right time. Clarity is amazing and the bokeh is good.
