Must be delicious to observe the little bees taken the polen in so beautiful flowers, I like to do it when I see them on my flowers, at the past I handle a little bit with bee to take honey... A beautiful photo, Wendell. I love the colors - especially the blues in the blossom and the background. Is that the sky back there? Splendid detail and clarity here with the little shadows on the petals. The dark foliage in the shadows really creates a sense of depth and shoves the flowers to the forefront. I might have cropped more off the right side, but I can't figure out why. Maybe I want everything to be perfectly balanced or something.

As I was looking to this picture, it appeared to me as a bit abstract and I like it because the bokeh / DOF on the background almost merges with the foreground subject. And I also like the soft toned lighting and the colors combined are simply beautiful. Very nice capture, Wendell.

Well, if I may be so bold Wendell as to say................ I find the background a bit distracting from the real focus here, the blossoms!! Bg's are always helpful but here it is to bright and fills up to much of the screen and that takes the focus away from the real beauty here, the blossoms:) Understandably, the background is blurred as would be expected to highlight the foreground but here it's just to much for the flowers to stand out on there own. Some of the blossoms are in the shadows which hides there true colors and brightness-although that is a difficult one to overcome if the subject is not entirely in the light. Rarely do I have a negative comment on any posting Wendell and I hope you can see my point of view. Actually, I rarely say enough at all when I comment which I openly confess and I'm sure is apparent to all of you:)
Everyone here has been so nice with there positive comments and overall it's a nice picture but lacking in my view.

Hey Wendell, it's been a long time... I really like this one. I personally think the detail of the flowers and softness of the background very pleasing to the eye. I'm a fan of this one.
