The economic slow down is apparently worse than I thought. I came across this sight the other day and found the owner of this lovely home lamenting the hard times that had befallen her. She was having a tough go of it meeting her pollen quota down at the factory and the big bosses had brought in some immigrant labourers recently to work the lucrative berry fields. Unable to make the payments on her home, the bank kicked her to the limb and put the place up for sale. Enjoy and view full screen. Your comments welcomed.

A sad tale of these troubled times and a great piece of photojournalism, Wendell. At least she won't be able to hear the vuvuzela horns, though!

That’s a very sad story, Wendell. Perhaps you have room in your home for the entire family. The photo of the bee hive or wasp nest is superb. Adding the for sale sign adds hilarity to the composition. Weren’t you afraid of getting stung when you put that sign up there? LOL.
