Some flowers blooming out in the garden. I was laying down on the ground looking up at these to get this shot. I thought I had pulled all the weeds away, but one piece remained undetected. As usual I have no idea what these are, except they are red. Hope you enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Wendell - In the sunlight, these bright red flowers against the green leaf backdrop are stunning. Thad

They look like what my husband calls lipstick vine - unopened they look like a tube of lipstick - I'm guessing they are a type of trumpet vine. Nice splashy color Wendell.

Wendell....

Very good presentation of these killer red flowers. Excellent focus and clarity, good contrast. But my eye is immediately drawn to that weed which inevitably destroys the entire composition. LOL.

A real eye-blasting shot, Wendell. I just love the contrast between the bright red and the green background.

Nothing subtle about this, Wendell. I've now learnt about "Foofy Friday", and this is one of the "foofiest"! Love it!

Good job Captain Color Blind! They really are red! :) And for the fact that you laid down to get this shot impresses me, I thought you said that you were getting too old for that kinda thing anymore... ;) Good shot Wen.

A superb capture of these lovelies, Wendell! I especially like their glistening shine and rich colour! I also don't mind the weed, which brings a lighter shade of green to the image :)

Nice red, whatever's, Wendell. I know what you mean, I never know the names of flowers. One of the things about this image I like is the intensity of the red but still with detail. So often red comes out too over saturated and then the details are washed out. Good job.
