Some rose buds from a bush out in the yard shot earlier this summer as it began to bloom. I just happened to like the deep colour of the roses. Though when developed they are more of a pink shade and rather boring as roses go. Not that I'm insulting roses, they are perfectly fine flowers as far as that goes
Probably should have cropped it a bit on the left, or at least removed that little leaf tip. I didn't notice it until now, I should really start paying attention to my own photos instead of nit-picking everyone else. Well what are you going to do, kinda late now. So maybe you'll just hold a piece of paper over that edge or ignore it altogether. Or it's not a leaf, it's a cleverly disguised insect. Then again, maybe it doesn't bother you like it's apparently bothering me. I appear to have become fixated on it.
Hope you enjoy and your comments most welcomed, just as long as you complain about anything but that one silly leaf. Are we seriously gonna let one little leaf ruin the whole picture? Condemn me for the focus instead. :D

I really liked your photo until I saw that intrusive leaf tip on the left. I became nauseous and faint until I grabbed some duct tape and stuck it over the left side of my monitor. I have regained my normal breathing, and my pulse rate is back to normal. I've lost my appetite and the vision in my left eye is still blurred, but I think the duct tape will take care of that in time. Not that I'm complaining.
I learned yesterday that you should clone out those brown spots below the future flower on the left.
Personally I like the posting; but as you very well know, I am clueless about flower photography. My opinion is virtually meaningless. Man, am I tired.
