By now the Lake Tour 2010 is in full swing, and by full swing I mean this was about halfway around the lake from where I started. This fine gentleman seemed to be enjoying his day throwing a hooked & baited line into the water only to haul it back in repeatedly. It must be tiring work as he has chosen to sit down to complete the task. As to what he was fishing for. I believe he had a choice of rainbow trout, pickerel or smallmouth bass that some idiots illegally introduced into the local ecosystem

I messed around just a little, not too much mind you, with the light and colours. I was going to crop the photo, but couldn't quite settle on where to cut things off. Would it look better if I had cropped out the bottom by a third? But I lose the depth then. Or how about cutting down some of those trees in the background? Difficult choices.

Hope you enjoy the scene and your comments most welcomed or welcomed mostly depending on the mood I'm in.

Very nice capture my friend and you captured the action in the angler very nicely. Love the ripples running across the lake and the splash were the bait as entered the lake.Well done.

Wendell - I think you captured the self-chosen solitude of the fisherman at his sport, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Thad

What a beautiful place you have. Wendell! Love the composition of so wonderful trees and water! Very nice motion capture. I think is nice the way it is, without croping. Have a super week!:-)

I like this very much Wendell - it is is nicely in thirds. I think a fisherman in his boat fits the new contest if you're interested.

You've really captured his action well here, Wendell. I also like the blue strip that runs down the middle.

Wendell...This shot whispers "Serenity". What a gloriously pristine background!! The colors are delightful. Very interesting the way the wind has sent those ripples horizontally along the middle of the water. Today's screen saver. Thanks.

Nice relaxing shot there, Wendell. I bet that guy has a six pack in that boat somewhere. My opinion for all it's worth. I would have cropped about a third, like you said, of the water so the shoreline is not right in the middle of the shot. I would rather see more trees than water in this shot, so I wouldn't chop any of them down. LOL.
