A companion piece to yesterday's Oil on Water. This was the initial oil spill that caught my attention. It reminded me of some primitive painting scratched on some dark cave wall. Then again it could have been the hot sun baking my mind that was making me see things (again).

The water was originally quite dark and dull looking. So I tweaked the settings and colours a bit to get the blueness.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed

Wendell, I'm really surprised that the Canadian EPA allows this sort of oil storage and spillage. But what sucks for Mother Nature surely does make for a pretty photo. If we keep our fingers crossed, maybe there'll be a nice volcano or a humongous chemical spill to soil the atmosphere and make for some pretty sunset shots. :-)

I liked yesterday's shot a little better because of the intricacy of the pattern. Also I liked yesterday's shot a little better because you cropped out the grassy edges. This shot just reminds me too much of what humanity is doing to our planet. Just call me a tree hugger, I guess.

I too found yesterdays post more interesting but then it was also more abstract but I where you were going with this one - I do see the cave painting.

Really unusual but beautiful too Wendell. I wouldn't claim to "understand" it. But then, I'm not a pretentious git!

The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

It is not the sun on your head no Wendell lol, both photos bring a interesting patterns and beautiful blue composition, this one seems a result of a kind of blue ink.
