I found myself out at the lake today and this was the scene that greeted me. The fog still lay heavy at mid-morning when this photo was taken. Visibility at times was down to less than 10 meters, though at this time it had lifted to about 50 meters.

Sadly, no lake monsters were spotted rearing their heads from the mist shrouded waters. Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I didn't know Nessie had relatives as far afield as Nova Scotia.
Even without any in evidence, you've still created a beautiful yet creepy feel to this Wendell. I agree with Ron about the reflections.

There are a lot of things going on in this shot, all of them good.

I like: The contrast from deep shadow to the bright infinity of the fog. The symmetry of the reflected shapes. The vibrance of nature compared to another decaying piece of man's handiwork.

It might make for a nice B&W too. Very well done.

Bravo Wendell. Just a fantastic photo all around. I need to wake up earlier to catch the fog here in Italy.

A wonderful fall photo, Wendell. The fog really adds to the beauty and peacefulness of this scene. I love the reflection of the old boathouse.
Very nicely done!
