Back to the lake for this photo. This time a little later in the day and the fog has started to lift enough to see one of the other shores. Technically it is the far shore, but the far shore here is closer than the far shore further down the lake. This photo was shot 180° from the Boathouse, looking down the length of the lake some 5km+ long.

This is the third version of this particular photo. In the first one the blues were over-saturated and we all know how much people like to complain about that sort of thing. So it was promptly saved to the dreaded obscure folder of rejects. The second version was a tad bit on the yellow side. It looked good but created a different mood. Thus it was duly binned as well.

So that would make this image hopefully the just right version. Then again none of you have seen the other "alleged" versions, so how can you tell the difference. I could be making this all up.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed

I hope, Wendell, that you have not made this up. I hate to be left in a fog. You will get your dew if you have! I hope I did not mist anything... ~~ John

Now all you need is an arm covered in the purest shimmering samite emerging from the bosom of the lake, holding a sword....Here's a clip from 'Monty Python & the Holy Grail".

Who are we to doubt you Wendell?
A lovely moody misty panorama. I can just see Nessie's cousin rearing her head in this.

Hi Wendell! :-)

Yes I have no idea about your another two versions, but this one became a wonderful painting I would love to have on the wall of my house! Delicious view and maybe the lady of the lake is hidden between the trees in the water reflections...:-) Love it!

I too don't know about the other two but I believe from personal experience about the blue bias on an overcast day - love this shot Wendell - very other worldly and wholly appropriate at this time of year.

Only one criticism comes to mind...it isn't signed. All works of art should be signed. No exceptions.

Other than that, it's one of the best landscapes that's ever crossed my screen.
