Yet another photo taken out at the lake. Located on an adjoining property was this half-submerged old row boat that has seen better days. The dock was probably in better shape and it was falling apart too. I was only able to find one of its oars and propped it up against a tree to add a little something to the shot.

So silly me I decide to shoot it straight into the bright afternoon sun. Then to complicate matters I took all the photos in vertical format and cobbled them together to get something more presentable. But ended up with a whole mess of sun spots, most of which were later removed.

Hope you enjoy and your comments most welcomed.

It looks really choppy out there Wendell. Nice composition with the boat pointing towards the sun and I really like the little bursts on the water. Did you arrange the oar like that?

A very difficult shot Wendell - you did well to get to this point.

I like this shot very much and it is only possible with filters to get raid of sunspots completely. The picture as a magical look to it, also the light on the water helps to high light the scene.Well done to a beautiful looking photo.

I like the finished product Wendell - the star in the sky is just right and the lighting on the water and oar - can't really see the boat but ones knows it is there.

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.

Wendell - The star-crossed sunlight is rather well controlled in this backlit shot. Thad
