A closeup of some abandoned piece of junk. It actually served two separate purposes during its time but is now languishing in a landfill site. Perhaps the metal was salvaged, but chances are the whole thing has been buried and forgotten. Future garboligists will marvel at its artistry and promptly step on a rusty nail in their enthusiasm of such a discovery.

So, Wendell, now you're spending your off hours at the local landfill. I once worked at the local landfill. It paid minimum wage but came with all you could eat.
I really like you're posting. Looks like a lot of iron oxide to me. I feel an overpowering need to head up your way and pound that rusty nail into the wood before someone catches their tuxedo on it. Your shot has great colors and clarity. Love the look of the old wood and the colorful rust. Did you take this with your new lens? Great narrative as always.
